The paperchase begins

Today I spent most of the day getting copies of our birth certificates and marriage license. It was long but fun and exciting. It feels like things are starting up! We got our initial package from Americans for International Aid and Adoption today and I have it all filled out and ready to mail. DH and I are printing out the 1600a tonight and getting it ready to go(minus the homestudy) and I'll get that out this week as well. If only my sister would get her driver's license updated so we can get her police clearance. I still need to make the medical appointments. I'm kind of bummed that Teri didn't send the medical form with the pre-application kit. I'd really like to get both medicals done at once. But other than that, I feel like things are going along smoothly. The waiting in this whole process is so difficult! It's only been 5 days since we found Rani and it feels like an eternity! I don't feel like I can call the agency and bug them for another week at least. I may call next Monday or Tuesday. Wish us luck, and hope, and prayers! Thanks!

A woman does not want the truth; what is truth to women? From the beginning, nothing has been more alien, repugnant, and hostile to woman than the truth - her great art is the lie, her highest concern is mere appearance and beauty.
