Does anybody read my blog?
I didn't think anyone really read my blog. In fact I've been living in this happy little dream of obscurity. Well, I've quite thoroughly jerked back to reality. *sigh* Apparantly "someone"has been reading. A friend of a friend of a friend of the woman I wrote about in the "What's wrong with ballet" post. *sigh* As I'm sure you can figure out she is quite upset and I am just sick about it. I never figured anyone who knew her would read it. I thought this was a "safe zone" to post my feelings whatever they are. She truly did hurt my feelings that day(and that's not the first time.) But that doesn't give me the right to do likewise. so.... Here is my public apology to the woman in the "what's wrong with ballet" post. I'm so very sorry. I am a sinner and the scum of the earth. I should be condemned for even thinking such things, and putting them into writing was a huge mistake. I need to be as kind in my postings as I am in real life. My deepest and utmost profound apologies to you! Other's who are reading (by the way, if there are so many people reading, why are there absolutely NO comments in my blog???) Please read my disclaimer at the side. I am human, I am not perfect. I absolutely give no guarantee that this will not happen again. In fact I'm sure it will, as this is still my personal space and I can complain about whatever is on my mind. If you intend to read in the future, be forewarned that you may get your feelings hurt by something I say here. On my personal site I have a no-holds-barred attitude. On a positive note...BASEBALL is OVER!!!!! We took 4th in the season and 3rd in the tournament. I'm so happy he got a medal, it will look so great in his scrapbook! posted by Tamra at 05:37 PM
CommentsI think most of us discover, eventually, that people near and dear -- or sometimes their friends, or their friends' friends -- are lurking, and adjust accordingly. In my case, I started the blog with the full awareness of my students (I teach at a prep school), so I think I was forewarned somewhat, but that hasn't kept me from a few awkward moments. But it also goes the other way; I remember one phone call with my father which actually began with him saying "so, we didn't call because you mentioned in your blog you were going out to the movies...how were they?" It felt kind of warm and fuzzy, like he was watching out for me. :-) Posted by: Boyhowdy on July 1, 2003 08:05 PM

Sorry for the triple-post. You have an error in your comments code, by the way, which is doubling the link and keeping it from working -- the link from the main blog page points to http://www.modernmother.netfirms.com/blog/http://www.modernmother.netfirms.com/blog/archives/000109.html, where it should point to http://www.modernmother.netfirms.com/blog/archives/000109.html. In case you were wondering why no one was commenting.... Posted by: boyhowdy again on July 1, 2003 08:09 PM
I just saw your blog in my referrals and decided to stop by and say hi. Then after reading this entry I felt the need to comment. I don't think you should have to apologize to anyone for what you said. As long as you didn't personally attack this person, you have every right to post what you want on your own blog. Once you begin to censor yourself, you're not being true to yourself and to me that's the worst thing I could ever do. I hope you continue to use this blog as an outlet and I hope you keep being you. From what I can see, you are pretty nifty! =) Posted by: Jenni on July 1, 2003 08:59 PM
